A few weeks ago I shot a wedding in Lawrence Michigan at the Lawrence United Methodist Church. The weather was perfect and
church was beautiful, we only had one little mishap before the ceremony… the brides veil was actually blown off her head and up over the Church, it almost ended up in a tree before finally coming to rest in the parking lot. It was crazy! In all my years as a
wedding photographer this was definitely the first and hopefully the last time I’ve seen a veil go for such a ride! Of course all is well that ends well and once the veil was back on the brides head we all had a good laugh about it. We started the day off with somefamily pictures outside the church, one of my favorites from the day was this picture of the bride and groom with the grooms siblings what a great family photo! Of course we also did pictures with the bridal party too. One of the great things about doingthe pictures before the ceremony is that it allows you spend a lot less time taking formal pictures after the ceremony so you can get to the reception and start having fun sooner OR you can use the extra time to stop for a photo walk somewhere. This next shot
is just a random photo I took after we finished the portraits while the bridal party got ready for the ceremony in the basement of the church. I just love the light in this photo! As you can tell the ceremony was beautiful and it was a packed house! You know acouple is loved when it’s standing room only for the ceremony. After the ceremony was done we took a few more quick portraits outside and then everyone headed over to the wedding reception at the Blue Dress Barn. Make sure you check out the photos
