Gull Lake Country Club | Wedding Photography

Gull Lake Country club has to be one of the most beautiful reception venues for winter wedding photography in all of Southwest Michigan and as of right now it’s definitely my favorite! What makes Gull Lake Country Club such a great reception venue for wedding photographers?

Plain and simple, it’s a beautiful location with an incredible view of Gull lake, and it’s proximity to Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas make it easy to get a variety of images without having to spend a whole lot of time traveling! I’ve shot several weddings here but Alex and Jessica’s

Kalamazoo Wedding Photography :: Alex & Jessica | benpancoast.com - […] Wedding photography locations near Kalamazoo don’t get any better than the First Presbyterian Church and covered bridge in Richland Michigan. The First Presbyterian Church is beautiful in it’s simplicity and windows line the walls so there is always great light, it’s also in a great location only a few minutes from downtown Kalamazoo and reception venues like Gull Lake Country Club. As you can see, Alex and Jessica were blessed with a beautiful snowy day for their winter wedding and in spite of the cold the bride and groom braved the weather for some outdoor wedding pictures. After taking pictures outside the church we took off for a covered bridge that the bride and groom had spotted when exploring the area. As a wedding photographer I must admit that I was geeked when we were walking up to this covered bridge in the falling snow, and I think the pictures speak to themselves because there’s just something magical about winter wedding pictures when the snow is falling! You never know what you’re going to get when you shoot a winter wedding, especially in a place like Kalamazoo Michigan, but with a little luck, and a bride that is willing to brave the cold for the sake of cool pictures you can do just about anything! Check out the next post for pictures from their wedding reception at Gull Lake Country Club! […]

Laura Stribling - That picture in the snow, might just be the most fabulous picture I’ve ever seen. Great job! I am sure that is hanging in their home somewhere.
