A wedding at Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids Mi

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be the wedding photographer for a wedding at the Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was actually my first time ever visiting Frederick Meijer Gardens and I was blown away by what a gorgeous

location it was for not only the wedding ceremony but the portraits and reception as well. Having never visited the gardens I was actually quite surprised by not only the size of the grounds but how well it worked for the wedding. Wedding guests were taken out

to the ceremony site via trolley by the gardens event staff just before the wedding and then the bride was brought out with her father. This ceremony took place by the waterfall and it was as picturesque as any outdoor or beach wedding I’ve ever shot! After

the ceremony we stayed put and did the family portraits at the ceremony site as well as a few quick pictures with the bridal party. After finishing the wedding pictures at the waterfall we went to The American Horse in the sculpture park to do a few more pictures

with the wedding party and finally finished with a beautiful picture of the bride and groom on the top of the hill overlooking the gardens! All in all it was a fantastic day for wedding photos and I can’t wait to shoot another wedding at Fredrick Meijer Gardens.
