Chicago Engagement Photos at Sunrise

A few weeks ago I had the chance to shoot engagement photos at Sunrise in Chicago. It always amazes me how many people have lived in Chicago for years and never taken the time to go down to the lake to watch the sun come up and light up the
Chicago skyline early in the morning. While the sunrise in Chicago can be a hit or miss thing due to the weather when you catch a beautiful sunrise few things compare to just how beautiful the city looks in the early morning light. I met up with Brad & Sabrina

before it was even light out, we weren’t sure exactly when the sun would begin to rise and I ended up guessing way to early, but we only had to wait a little while before the sun started to warm up the sky. Unfortunately it was a pretty overcast morning in

Chicago until about 45 minutes after sunrise when the clouds finally broke and we got some great light on the skyline! After shooting along the lake for a while we headed downtown and did some pictures along the river, the Chicago River is an amazing

place to do engagement pictures because there’s just so many possibilities! There’s the river, the architecture, the river walk, the famous Chicago Bridges, etc etc! We finished up the shoot on this amazing stair case which we just happened to find, I love how

graphic the wall is behind them! All in all it was a great morning and I can’t wait to find another couple who’ll be adventurous enough to meet me at Sunrise in Chicago! Congrats to Brad and Saprina on their Engagement and upcoming wedding!
